The overview below covers the data the store collects, the grounds for collecting it, and the parties it reaches once a visitor browses the store, places an order, or gets in touch.
Data Collected
A visit to the store quietly logs a few technical details about the visitor's device — the IP address, the browser in use, and the pages viewed. These are grouped together as "Device Information".
An order, once placed or merely started, brings a few further details along — name, billing and delivery address, payment details, email, and phone number. These are grouped together as "Order Information".
Grounds for It
Order Information carries an order the whole way through — clearing payment, dispatching the parcel, drawing up invoices and confirmations, replying to messages, flagging anything that looks fraudulent, and forwarding word of the store's products and offers.
Parties It Reaches
Serving those grounds means placing the data with a short roster of trusted providers. Shopify keeps the store running in the background, and Google Analytics shows how visitors move around the site. That is the whole of it.
Cookies
Cookies and similar tracking tools run across the site, following activity within the service and holding certain details between visits. A visitor's browser settings hold the say: block every cookie, or flag each one before it loads.
Visitor Rights
Visitors based in Europe or California may ask to see the data held on them and ask for it to be corrected, refreshed, or wiped. The contact details below carry that request forward.
Retention
Order Information from a purchase holds on file as the store's record of the sale, until the customer asks for it to be deleted.
Changes
This page takes a reworking now and again, as the store's practices move or as the rules it follows call for it.
